WORLD ALLIANCES

The term AXIS and ALLIES originates from World War 2 where:

• the ALLIED countries worked together to fight against tyrannical, expansionist threats of dictators.

• the AXIS countries were the ones going to war and conquering other nations.

In World War 2, the AXIS POWERS were the 'BAD GUYS' or 'EVIL DICTATORS' of Hitler's NAZI Germany, Mussolini's Fascist Italy, and Emperor Hirohito's Imperial Japan. ALLIED POWERS were the 'GOOD GUYS' of UNITED KINGDOM, UNITED STATES, and SOVIET UNION (Russia). Others Allied Nations included France, Poland, Philippines, China, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, South Africa, Brazil, Mexico.

an International Economic and Trade Coalition

BRICS nations seeks to create a separate, world trade system that is not influenced by U.S. or under threat of U.S. Sanctions.

MEMBER NATIONS BRICS stands for: Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa and also includes: Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iran and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). 

PARTNER NATIONS include: Belarus, Bolivia (S America), Cuba (Caribbean), Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Nigeria, Thailand, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Vietnam. Those invited but declined: Saudi Arabia. Those applied, but later withdrew/stopped their application: Argentina (S America), Algeria. Venezuela applied but was blocked by Brazil over their disputed 2024 election.
